I would like to reinforce the need for a swift update process.
Having to provide a different link for each version of the prototype, even for minor changes, is a serious problem when you are focused in closing a sale to a stakeholder, and a major nuisance when trying to quickly iterate a project.
I can't bring the stakeholder to my office every time we need to do an update session (so he can see immediate changes over the LAN). And sometimes my stakeholder isn't even in the same city, or country. When I update a website of one of my clients, I can ask him to refresh and see the changes while on the phone with him discussing the changes.
I could have a dedicated machine running Studio 24hs, and set up my clients with a VPN connection to that machine, so they can connect via IP, and see changes take effect immediately, but you can see that his isn't practical, or cheap.
If I update an asset, a single PNG, and that will require me to drag the file to the Pixate website and wait for it to upload, generate a new share URL, send that URL to the client, have him open the link, point the mobile, scan, wait for it to load the assets, and then test the app, I've lost about 5 minutes in dead silence over the phone just waiting. And that for one single minor update.
I know you can do better than that. I'm not even asking to integrate cloud to studio on windows (which I know its coming). I just ask that we can go to the pixate website, enter the project, enter the version, and have the option to upload a new file and overwrite that version. If I upload a new file inside the project, but not inside the version, I'll create new version.
And please, pretty please, allow us to share a URL for the whole project, so our stakeholders can see and use a list of versions in the app screen, and quickly check the difference between versions.
Pixate is awesome!
But that roadblock is what sent me looking for other options in the market.
