Just wanted to say that I love the app, BUT there are a few blockers that just block me from using it in prototyping.
There are probably a lot of features that people want, but imo adding these, would greatly improve the usability of the app:
- Add video looping, and better actions for controlling it.
Fine, I can animate in AE, export a movie and add it to the prototype, but LET ME CONTROL IT
- Multiple artboards (changing screens).
For now we have to animate layer groups in/out to symulate screen change, but it would be great if Pixate had artboards like flinto/principle/sketch. For one it would be more integrated with Sketch in the future, and two: it would be easier to animate and setup.
Also, I don't know what is your development cycle, but Pixate 2.0 was released in December '05. It would be great if you would just fix crucial bugs, and add small features month-by-month rather than overhauling the app, and releasing it every half/year... which in these days is a bad decision in it self, because of the rapid changing of our industry. Just look how the Sketch guys do it.
I just hope your team didn't succumb to the Google buyout curse... because most google buyouts end in a poor development cycle, and in the end - shutting down.
